About Mark Fairfield

I am a part qualified accountant with an analytical mindset. My role at DXC. is Senior Finance Analyst supporting the Security offering in Europe. I am responsible for the forecast, budget and month end close activities. I manage the overall consolidation and work closely with the capabilities in a business partner role. Providing analysis and reports to aid business decisions, helping the business succeed. I began my career as an Assistant Financial Accountant where I obtained my AAT qualification. Keen to acquire new skills I had the opportunity to learn SQL, VBA which naturally advancing my Excel expertise. This opened up an opportunity for me to move into a Business Analyst role, where my finance background complemented the new analytical skills I had acquired. Vistorm was acquired by EDS in 2008, which led to subsequent mergers and acquisitions leading to DXC, I have had a number of roles within the Security offering. I was integral in the financial system merge, later deployed as an SME for our Sage to SAP migration. When the integration settled I was assigned my first Financial Analyst role, providing financial support for Security capabilities. Over the years I have supported 4 capabilities across the globe, 2 regional roles (including my current role). Developed systems, processes and procedures, and built strong relationships with colleagues around the world.
