Springfield Psychological for 6 years as an outpatient therapist. Providing evidence based therapy for children, adolescents, families, couples and adults. Child Guidance Resource Center for 6 years as an outpatient therapist and 2 years in EAS. OPS responsibilities include outpatient therapy for clients ages 3 to 18 years of age and their families, conducting intake assessments, generating an initial diagnosis, determining an appropriate level of care for the client, writing daily progress notes, creating treatment plans to provide measurable progress of client goals, collaborating with psychologists, psychiatrists, schools, and other departments to ensure consistency in care and working on common goals. Additional outpatient work has included developing, proposing and leading a Teen Males Group for teenage males ages 13 to 18 that provided a forum for discussing and understanding common difficulties. EAS responsibilities include, intake assessments, home and school observations, conducting TOVA, ADOS, ADIR testing and completing FBA's. Devereux's psychiatric hospital for 1 year and residential facility for 2 years. The hospital housed males and females from ages 4 - 18 with various diagnoses. Responsibilities included monitoring and reporting of client behaviors and progress on goals, providing direct care, de-escalating clients in crisis, and ongoing coordination of care with staff. Devereux's residential facility housed pre-teen and teen males. Responsibilities at the Residential facility including monitoring and documenting client behavior and progress, providing ongoing direct care, use of de-escalation and behavior management techniques, coordinating care with staff, providing and supervising therapeutic activities for clients. Was part of a team that achieved the lowest number of therapeutic holds due to effective behavioral management and interventions.
