About Mark Farrell

Mark is a chartered valuation surveyor by profession and has over 40 years of experience in the real estate and financial fields. Having worked at a financial services institution advising on wills, estate administration and investments, he formed and was in charge of what has now become one of the largest valuation firms in Trinidad and Tobago. Having retired from there, he has now decided to try and pass on to new entrepreneurs some of the knowledge he has gained over the last 40+ years. Mark has had an illustrious career which included a stint in the USA where he also lectured on tax preparation, He was Fellowship in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), was licenced in 1996 as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Mark also lectures at UWI-Roytec on topics including forming a business, real estate investing, mortgages and valuing. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the valuation firm that he formed, serves on the Board of both a leading mortgage-lending institution and the Association of Real Estate Agents and was a director of Crown Point Beach Hotel Limited. An avid sports fan, he is a member of the Queens Park Cricket Club and the Tranquillity Square Lawn Tennis Club.
