I love manufacturing. To make a product from a raw material such as Zinc Alloy into a functioning die-casting still amazes me after 25 years in the casting industry. I am fortunate enough to have gained skills and knowledge throughout my career that I now apply at MDL. Our reputation as a die-caster of aesthetically stunning, high level finish parts has held us in good stead over the years. This was recognised by the 'British Cast Metals Federation' in November 2018 where we were awarded the prestigious 'Company of the Year Award'. Great recognition from our fellow industry members. MDL provides a full-service solution. Our service begins with the design for manufacturability. We progress on to rapid prototyping, 3D printing, tool design and manufacture and reliable parts production. Particular attention is applied to a complete range of secondary operations and finishing, a craftsman like approach to hand finishing the parts. Various coatings are applied to give that ‘Finishing Touch'. Coatings such as - Mirror finish chromium plate. Satin chrome. Stainless steel effect. Brushed brass. Powder Coating to whatever RAL required. And many more. We don't leave it there though. We have Plastic injection moulding capabilities via our sister companies and even grey iron manufacturing via our parent company, Thomas Dudley Ltd. With this combination, a more comprehensive range of material, product and service is offered. Indeed, some of our customers benefit from assemblies that capture all of the manufacturing options into one product. We are based in the West Midlands not far from the M5 motorway.
