About Mark Fleming

Mark Fleming is a seasoned professional geologist with more than 35 years’ experience successfully managing exploration, development and mining of gold and base metal projects for Australian, African, American and UK companies in Australia and Africa. He has a background of successes in exploration discoveries, development of evaluated projects, establishing protocols and training programmes, and promotion of corporate identities to financiers and governments. He also has a strong commitment to achieving corporate objectives, managing and promoting a results driven team environment, and maintaining a focus on safety. He has gained invaluable experience in: • underground hard-rock mining operations; • underground and open pit project evaluation and development; • brown-fields/green-fields exploration; • operations and country/corporate management; • presentations and promotion of company properties/projects to engage financiers, and to keep potential/current investors and other stakeholders informed and supportive; and • effective in working in the role of Chief Operating Officer. In all of these areas he has successfully undertaken senior management roles. He has developed a very strong skills base and can offer the following services to clients: • any project work relating to exploration, project development and operations; • promoting projects to financiers; • independent project reviews; • assessment of properties and projects for acquisition; • independent auditing as a competent/qualified person; • reviewing/promoting QAQC protocols and procedures; • development of SOPs; and • training programmes for sub-ordinate/national staff. Mark is currently seeking full-time employment or contract work. Even though his experience base is mainly Australia and Africa, the skill set he has developed are applicable to any region throughout the world.
