About Mark Fowler

Mark has an extensive background in exploration, science, conservation, and documentary film and television. Son of Jim Fowler, renowned wildlife expert and spokesperson, Mark’s training began at a young age on the set of “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom”. In Mark parlayed his family legacy into a role of producer and co-host of a syndicated 22-episode television series called “Life in the Wild” that was Emmy nominated. Since then, he has continued to produce adventure, wilderness, wildlife, history, and science programming for numerous television networks, non-profit, and corporate clients. As an explorer, falconer, and wildlife spokesperson, Mark has a passion for mission-based work and for inspiring the next generation of explorers. He is an elected member of the Board of Directors of The Explorers Club, where he also serves as Chair of the Wildlife Committee. His multi-media production company, Wild Life Productions (WLP), has produced for cable networks such as Nat Geo, Travel Channel, Discovery, and for syndication. Their clients include foundations, non-profits, and government agencies such as NOAA, NASA, HURL, WHOI, S.W.A.T, the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, and the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, among many others. WLP has seamlessly integrated each of these clients’ brands and missions into major television and online productions seen worldwide. Mark also lectures with exotic wildlife for NBC’s Today Show, the Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends”, and The Explorers Club. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies/Natural Resource Management from the University of Colorado.
