About Mark Fyson

Mark Fyson is a structural engineer in Arup’s Sydney office specialising in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects through deep client engagement and inspiring leadership of large teams. Mark's willingness to listen and explore new angles makes him an accomplished problem-solver who strives to integrate innovative digital technology into project delivery. He is an experienced and confident engineer with a desire to make every project better than the last and is expert at drawing the best out of colleagues. Mark has helped deliver many iconic, award-winning projects including the Leadenhall Building, The London Aquatics Centre, Libeskind’s Durham University Physics Building and KKAA’s V&A Museum in Dundee. Mark also leads Arup funded research projects to introduce disruptive technologies and thinking to the construction sector as well as to find new ways of working which rapidly and interactively appraise options and deliver demanding building projects. In 2016 Mark was named the Young Structural Engineer of the Year for the Northern Counties in recognition of his contribution to the industry. In 2017 he moved to Sydney with Arup.
