Throughout my teaching career, I've worked in multiple academic settings: from general education, ICT setting, small group/ 1:1 reading and literacy intervention, 12:1:1 classrooms, and tutoring. Currently I serve as an MTSS teacher, working with students whose native language is not English and helping them to acquire the English language to achieve proficiency. I serve students ranging from emergent language speakers to expanding and commanding users of English. I also serve students who have difficulties with reading comprehension and literacy skills. Much of my pedagogy centers around the intervention of literacy skills and developing language proficiency. My services range from small group, 1:1 and classroom push-ins. As a up-and-coming certified Literacy/Reading Specialist, my goal is to further help students of diverse contexts develop their reading and writing skills to become college-ready, professional, and well-rounded members of society.
