20+ years experience managing the security function of a large UK account within the UK Govt/Financial Services sector. This has provided a wealth of knowledge around regulatory requirement handling, change and incident management as well as risk management/mitigation and all related ITIL areas. Coupled with this I have wide experience of stakeholder management and am comfortable discussing subjects with any stakeholder from technician to CIO. I have broad experience of operations, administration, design and implementation with both large enterprises and small scale systems. Have worked as a member of a small global team and enjoy the challenges of the modern IT world along with demonstrating compliance with standards. I have also previously worked as a single team member with broad responsibility across many functional areas. I enjoy broadening my knowledge of topics such as security and do what I can to stay ahead of the curve in these changing times. A year in the Legal sector with one of the leading law firms in the UK allowed me to learn every day about a whole new range of IT Security and BCP challenges. When people say that security threats are constantly evolving, they are absolutely correct. I spent over two years in the Travel sector working for the largest B2B provider. Responsible for migration of legacy clients to strategic systems whilst maintaining service on legacy platforms. In an environment processing billions of transactions daily, the real-time impact of incidents is on a par with Banking Now back in IT Security working for a second Defence company delivering services to the DIO. Helping to establish VIVO as the trusted partner they will become.
