About Mark Gibbons

I’m a technologist and a people-person, I love sharing knowledge and discussing ideas, strategy, technology, service and problem solving. I’ve had a very successful fast paced career to date, and I’ve achieved a lot in a relatively short space of time, due to attacking everything I do with a 100% effort and commitment. I’m a very fast learner and I’ve been lucky enough to have been mentored by some great people within the industry. I’m an experienced SA and Consultant having worked on complex solutions spanning multiple countries/continents across many verticals including, transportation, retail, media, music & entertainment, finance & banking and local government amongst others, within public and private sectors. I like to form close relationships with clients by spending time with them, being open, honest, knowledgeable and empathising with them, seeing their business objectives and challenges through their eyes. I strongly believe in the following principles, some of which shape my personal life as well as my work: • Be open, honest and personable (with everyone) • Assume that the people you are talking to, may know more than you do about the subject • Always take a service down approach when solutioning (technology should be a consequence of service design and should never drive a solution) • Give credit where credit is due • Remember it’s impossible to know everything, do NOT make it up if you don’t know. Go and find out. • Listen carefully…… the devil is always in the detail I believe several of these forms the foundational pillars for building strong relationships and partnerships with clients. I’m looking forward to what the future brings, growing my network and continuing to progress my career at pace!
