PROFESSIONAL GOAL To continue building my professional engineering career in the energy sector with an innovative organization that will challenge and expand my existing management and technical skills. SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS 10 years of experience in the energy training and education industry. 6 years in a management role with 16 direct reports (union and non-union) and responsible for 250+ students. 5 years in an engineering role with a focus on substation SCADA communication networks and HMI integration. Currently manage both the Electrical Engineering Technology and the Energy Asset Management diploma programs in the MacPhail School of Energy at SAIT Polytechnic. Seconded for 8 months in 2012 as the Senior Project Manager for an international institutional development project for SAIT Polytechnic in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. The $1.3 million project was to complete the assessment and design of technical training institute of 750 students and 150 administration staff. Extensive experience in the assessment, design, development and management of competency based energy sector training programs. Experience in both the oil and gas and the electric utility energy sectors. APEGA (formerly APEGGA) – Current P. Eng member in good standing. Proven ability to manage the staff requirements and key performance indicators to ensure the successful delivery and development of technical training programs. Exceptional project management, communication and interpersonal skills gained through engineering, instruction and management roles. Experience in working with senior executives, industry and government in the areas of strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
