I am a Distinguished Technologist at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company and hold a Ph.D. in electronic engineering augmented by over 25 years experience in ASIC architecture and design. I currently own the architecture and functionality for packet forwarding within Aruba ASICs. Demonstrated strengths include – - strong background in the architecture and design of high-performance forwarding functionality for Ethernet networking ASICs- participated in all phases of the ASIC process - architecture, design, pre-silicon verification, post-silicon testing, triage/diagnostics, metal spins, full ASIC rolls- worked on multiple generations of shipping Ethernet ASICs with numerous derivative ASICs to add functionality and/or reduce cost- highly effective communication and documentation skills covering design specifications, functionality guides, investigation documents, feature documents, test plans and management reports- ASIC expert for L2 switching, L3 routing and QoS/Policy functionality, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, etc- strong generation and protection of Intellectual Property, with over 35 US patents granted.
