Hands-on technologist and problem-solver with academic and industry experience of data science, data engineering, DevOps/MLOps and project leadership. Passionate about working with Python to develop, train, deploy and run models to solve real-world problems. Will bring strong work ethic and ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Have proven expertise utilising mathematics, statistics and programming to solve business problems. Strong academic background with Masters of Physics in Astrophysics (University of Southampton and Harvard University) and DPhil (PhD) in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford gaining significant experience analysing datasets, developing algorithms and presenting research in a journal and at conferences. Now working in industry building production-scale models and data pipelines. Keen to find a senior individual contributor role in a small team, perhaps with the opportunity to mentor and support junior developers as well as build on my skills and experience.
