About Mark Hanna

Mark Hanna is a Senior Reservoir Engineer and the Subsurface Team Lead at Vaalco Energy Inc. He has over 14 years of diversified international experience in Reservoir & Petroleum engineering working with various leading E&P companies around the Middle East developing their Oil & Gas fields. He utilizes his reservoir engineering and simulation expertise for reserves & resources determination and economic evaluation of the upstream assets. He also instructs a wide portfolio of reservoir engineering & simulation training courses worldwide.Prior to joining Vaalco Energy Inc, Mark spent 9 years with Schlumberger where he held several positions under the Reservoir domain, the last of which being a Reservoir engineering and Simulation consultant for Saudi Aramco Unconventional department at Saudi Arabia. He has carried work at Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Kuwait and UAE over his career were he worked as a reservoir engineer, team leader, instructor and business manager. Mark was also assigned to work at 2 of the Schlumberger technology centers; Abingdon Technology Center (AbTC) in UK and SPT Technology Center (SPTC) in Norway, where he worked with the commercialization and engineering teams developing SIS reservoir engineering softwares.
