I started working at Heller machine tools UK ltd, straight from school on the 15th July 1991. As an Apprentice working the first year at NEW College on the job EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS- 32 Years’ Experience in CNC machine tools environment in Machine build and Service (1991-Current) Five Axis Machine and Head training, rebuilding, repair and testing. Kinematics and Autocal. Proactive at selling parts and bringing in business. Preventative maintenance including Production on-site support visits. All areas of machine repair, i.e Rotary tables, Tool changers, Swivel heads and Spindle units. Installations, De-commissioning and Re-commissioning, Re-alignments and Full Geometry checks. Heller Uni-pro 90 control Siemens Controls knowledge, Solution and Powerline. Fanuc Controls knowledge, 160i 180i 31i 32i. Hydraulics and Pneumatics system testing, including Fixture Build and Testing. Sub assembly build, Rotary tables, Tool changers, Pallet pools, Gantry loaders, Spindles, Columns, Setting places, Magazines and Machine bed Auto collimating. Project Leader 2006-2007 onsite Honda Uk. HNC in Mechanical engineering 1991-1996 – Distinction. EITB 5 year Apprenticeship in Engineering 1991-1996 – Merit. Installation and Project Lead Engineer 2019 Perkins Peterborough – Fastems and Heller Cells x2. 2022 Progressed to join Starrag UK, In a Positive move forward into Aerospace, Military, Defence & Nuclear to name a few sectors. Starrag Brand machines have so much diversity and innovation, for example the machines i work on are currently are Heckerts, Ecospeed, STC and LX machines CURRENT POSITION- I am currently working as a Field Service Engineer at Starrag Uk. My Bias is 70% Mechanical and 30% Electrical.
