About Mark Heaney

My Career began in 1997 as A Clerk at Smith Bros.(Now known as ACFS). Just over a year later I began a journey taking me through two different Freight forwarders, laying the foundations for what Is now solid experience in Air & Sea Freight forwarding. A Career defining step was taken in early 2002 when I joined Geodis Wilson (Formerly Wilson’s / TNT Freight) further strengthening industry knowledge in a variety of roles including Import Air / Sea forwarding, Customer service, Transport operations, and Operations Supervisor. In 2010 my talents were recognized and I became NSW Business Unit Manager. This role included 11 direct reports, and responsibility for non-negotiable KPI’s of both a financial and Client service nature. My department responsibilities included Customs Clearance (Incl. Compliance), Client invoicing and customer service / Final Mile (Delivery). I have continued to remain heavily involved in both Air/ Sea Freight forwarding and the operations of the NSW branch, and taken on day to day Management of key accounts. In October 2015 i was given responsibility for an additional Business unit, in total now responsible for 19 reports. At this time i made the decision to appoint a Supervisor / 2IC to assist me in Managing both the customer's needs and team members.
