Over 30 years experience working in the Engineering and Construction industry. Knowledgeable in all aspects of running small to medium sized businesses from initial tendering stage of projects through to final account invoicing. ESTIMATING - Producing detailed project costings and preparing full tender submission packages for a building and refurbishment main contractor working within the healthcare, education, local authority, construction and commercial sectors. Providing Directors with enquiry document and contract (JCT or NEC) analysis to highlight and limit project risk through tender qualifications. Creating accurate material take-offs and schedules from construction drawings, data sheets, project specifications and NBS for handover to contract management teams. Creating sustainable and reliable supply chains through subcontractor and supplier evaluation PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT - Experienced with leading, organising and driving the fabrication and manufacture of products through the workshop. Particular areas of expertise planning and scheduling fabrication and production to meet project requirements, understanding and ensuring Clients specifications are adhered to and achieved in compliance with the company’s own Quality Management System, lean manufacturing & identification of areas for continual improvement, ensuring workshop machinery and equipment is used correctly and kept well maintained, drawing take-off’s, creation of job sheets and procurement of materials and consumables, workforce motivation through inclusion, regular appraisals, training needs & support. HSEQ - Extensive experience in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality system implementation and management, preparation and control of company Health and Safety Policy manuals, Environmental and Sustainability process manuals, Quality Management Systems, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Construction Phase Plans etc.
