About Mark Hernandez

I am an experienced Engineering professional in the pharmaceutical industry covering several layers of discipline from reliability, process, operations, project management, and critical utilities. Currently responsible for engineering operations (Site Head) which include 365 days 24/7 facility maintenance operations, technical support for Critical Utilities, development of preventative maintenance program for utility and process equipment, project management, metrology/calibration, and process automation. Due to my extensive experience with Asset Management, I am also responsible for Warehouse and MRO. As an extension of my responsibility, I am also responsible for the site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program development. I also have several years of experience developing professional engineering and maintenance staff. I am a subject matter expert in WFI and RO water generation, storage / distribution, compressed air, steam / clean steam, and HVAC. I also have a strong background in Reliability Engineering leading system improvements in developing work process (i.e. FMEA, RCA, etc.). I was an Award Recipient for the 2011 AME – Maintenance VIP savings of $4.6M. I have successfully worked in different industries such as the food and beverage, and paper industry. I have a positive attitude in any obstacle I encounter and most importantly value good professional work relationship.
