About Mark Hijmans

I graduated from the Tilburg University of Applied Sciences as an Industrial Engineer and hold an MBA from TIAS University - School for Business & Society. I have started my career as an Operational Excellence Manager at Kompas Gramedia Group of Printing in Jakarta, Indonesia. After my return to The Netherlands, I continued my career in the printing & packaging industry and held several senior management positions in renowned Dutch printing companies. Upon completion of his MBA, he joined the management consulting business and became a Principal Operations in Celerant Consulting. After more than 10 years in the management consulting business, I joined a Dutch multinational dairy cooperative where I was responsible for Operational Excellence in the Consumer Dairy division operating in Europe, Russia, Africa and South-East Asia. In January 2020 I have re-joined management consulting as an Associate Director for Accelerant Consulting until January 2022. In February 2022 I have started working for ASML as a senior manager Operational Excellence. I am an experienced change manager and have successfully delivered many assignments in multiple industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, FMCG, Dairy, Manufacturing and Printing & Packaging. I have a strong background in General- and Operations Management, Operational Excellence, Business Process Improvement, Organizational Development and Behavioral Change in international environments. Key in all engagements is the focus on creating value and enhancing/restoring performance by building internal capabilities, leadership development from shop floor to management and embedding continuous improvement in the organization.
