I am an International award winning Technical IT Product Manager leveraging extensive proficiency in product management, programme coordination and vendor management in a senior position. IT Product Management has meant that I manage cross-functional teams including Architects, Developers, Testers & Business Analysts. My experience in each of those domains allows a greater understanding and scrutiny of those roles. That experience has been both in Agile & Waterfall Methodologies, On-Shore and Off-Shore, Buy and Build, Green-Fields and Continuous Improvement, Functional and Non-Functional. The role also allows me to both gather user requirements and present to them the need for change. That constant contact with the user community keeps me grounded and allows me to promote our key objective: a fabulous customer experience. Career Highlights • Designed and implemented an internationally award winning e-commerce site for the selling of contact lenses. Also designed and implemented an enterprise system for the whole of Specsavers, which has been running for 23 years. Its performance remains excellent despite having grown six-fold to 30M customers. • Instigated and ran a project to coalesce four Nordic countries around common business processes supported by a common application. The challenge was that each country believed that their situation was unique. The solution achieved reduced purchase price, reduced support & maintenance with users cross-sharing learning and experience. • Successfully interfaced tills to an internet gift card system. The till used very old software that presented many challenges. • Purchased and implemented a multi-million pound Human Capital Management System, SuccessFactors. This was deployed in eight countries, each with their own compliance challenges.
