About Mark Humphrey

I am a former active duty medical officer in the United States Navy, currently serving as a family and preventive physician and clinical associate professor with Prisma Health and University of South Carolina, Columbia. I also hold a Bachelor of Science from The University of Toledo with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Business; a Medical Degree from the Wright State University Booneshoft School of Medicine; a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; Family Medicine residency training from the University of Louisville's rural program in Glasgow Kentucky and Preventive Medicine residency training in Preventive Medicine from Johns Hopkins. My work experience is diverse and includes emergency medicine in rural environments, occupational safety and health, general public health, global health and humanitarian aid; outpatient family medicine and hospitalist at a tertiary urban hospital; medical directorship at a 40+ physician residency/faculty practice; physician for clinical quality champion including teaching quality improvement to medical students, pharmacy students, medical residents and faculty physicians.
