Mark had general management responsibility for the healthcare division with a turnover of £180m and top & bottom line growth of above 20%. Since joining Mercury Health as a start up the healthcare division grew into an organisation employing over people. The organisation is the market leader in the independent sector both in primary and secondary care and is focused as the provider of choice for care out of hospital. The focus on high quality care led to the selection of Care UK as the healthcare organization of the year award in 2010 & 2011. The organisation delivers health services from 140 sites across England. Mark joined Care UK in March 2007 and initially headed up the rapidly expanding Primary Care Division. The services include ISTCs’, CATs’, Diagnostics, OOHs’ including Urgent Care Centres, General Practices, Walk-in Centres, Secure health, and Community Services. He has previously worked in healthcare in health policy, NHS management, pharmaceutical sector, healthcare delivery and designing policy in the Strategy Unit at the Department of Health. His NHS experience spans SHAs, PCTs and Modernisation agency in executive and non-executive roles including a Director of Leadership for one of the national teams.
