About Mark I Kampfe

42 years of private practice in general dentistry; I have been involved in organized dentistry at the local (through chairs of NW district of Iowa Dental Association), state(trustee for NW district of the Iowa Dental Association), chair of Council on Third Party Reimbursement of the Iowa Dental Association),(past chair of South Dakota Dental Association PAC and board member of the South Dakota Dental Foundation of the South Dakota Dental Association, Past President of Black Hills District and past Trustee to SDDA from BH District) at the national level(served 4 years on the Council on Dental Benefit Programs at the American Dental Association), and past 4 years on the ADA Council on Membership. From August 2010 to October 2012, serve as contract general dentist to the US Air Force at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City SD. Since October 2012, I have been doing Locum Tenens in General Dentistry within the states of South Dakota, Nebraska & Iowa as well as working part time as a contract dentist for the SD Dept of Health at the Rapid City Community Work Center, a minimum security facility being part of the SD Department of Corrections. I also volunteered as a lobbyist for the South Dakota Dental Association In 2018. I am currently retired from the active practice of clinical dentistry.
