About Mark Jason Acab

I have extensive experience with developing websites and web-based applications using Laravel, VueJS, PHP, Javascript, SASS and WordPress. In addition, my background in working in an agile team has given me the skills to adjust to the changing dynamics and processes of that environment while meeting scheduled milestones and deliverables.In a previous job, I developed several features of a web app such as the contract generator, legal research, and lawyer marketplace. The cloud-based application allowed people to generate and sign contracts online and made the law more accessible to people back in the Philippines. I was involved in the design and development process for all the features of the application, and I managed enhancement requests after each rollout.My coworkers and I were able to work simultaneously on the features through clear communication and processes. I worked as the lead developer and allowed others to play to their strengths. I always try to exhibit ideal teamwork traits, including reliability, good communication, commitment, adaptability, and going above and beyond what is asked. Prior to migrating to the UK, the management recognized my accomplishments in meeting project deliverable deadlines. Upon arriving in the UK I joined the Scion Coalition Scheme which is an intensive training program run by Netmatters, which affords trainees the opportunity to enter the industry. The course is 40 hours per week, supervised by senior developers, and simulates employment as a developer to ensure we are prepared for full-time employment. I acted as a pod leader where in I lead meetings and raised questions to management when needed.
