About Mark Jenkins

I spent 8 years as a loan officer at the Citizens Bank of Sparta. Most of my lending experience there was Consumer, Ag, and Light Commercial related. For over 5 years I served as a Commercial / Consumer lender at Citizens National doing all types of loans from car loans, cattle, land acquisition, residential construction, commercial construction, to industrial / manufacturing loans. After leaving Citizens National, I served as the Chief Operations, Lending, and Financial Officer of Systematic Savings Bank, Downtown Springfield. Systematic Savings Bank was a traditional Savings and Loan that had remained virtually unchanged since the 1970's. My job at Systematic was to help bring them up to date. This included the addition of a web site, online banking, debit cards, lending policies and practices, and an extensive remodel to the entire facility. As of the end of July 2012 I became President/CEO of the Bank of Billings in Billings Missouri. The Bank of Billings is the oldest bank in Christian county. It currently has 2 branches, one in Billings, and one in Marionville Missouri. The bank is a small community bank with a lot of potential for growth as it serves the community. I graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a BS in Accounting, and I have a Graduate School of Banking Degree from LSU. My career goals are to continue the management of banks, educating myself in best practices and take advantage of whatever opportunities present themselves.
