About Mark Jenks

I've always worked since I was young, helping my mom with her cleaning business and my dad cutting trees. Here and there I was given the opportunity with small jobs and volunteering during highschool and after high school I joined the United States Marine Corps, and my job was infantry (security specialist). During the Marines opportunities came to me and I did whatever I could to become better at my job and extra certificates for various opportunities. During the Marines I went on a combat deployment to Afghanistan with my unit 1/2 and alot has happened then taking iniative, leading others, staying up long hours in strainous conditions, finishing up different jobs while taking classes for possible promotions, caring for others wellbeing, staying alert on security and following the rules and regulations. After Afghanistan I went to advanced infantry squad leader course and knew my job alot more in depth and even understood how to lead in different situations and roles for people that didn't follow the same way. okinawa Japan is another deployment we went on for quick reaction force (basically means ready for a mission when needed).Many things happened with that deployment but it was a more relaxed environment then Afghanistan. In my 4 years in the marine corps I became team leader, promoted to E-4 corporal, combat conditioning instructer, humvie driver for 3 years, combat life saver. Going to school at universal tenchnical institute for automotive/ deisel starting november. If these skills or experience doesn't apply for a certain jobs criteria then take in consideration that I have been through numerous classes/courses and I'm more then willing to set myself apart.
