About Mark Jenner

I have spent 40 years enhancing the production, conversion, and consumption of biomass. The ability to synthesize knowledge across economic, agronomic, animal science, and engineering disciplines facilitated innovation in feasibility of production ag, biomass energy, and environmental remediation projects. Translating technical concepts and terminology into lay language for law makers, farmers, composters, and renewable energy entrepreneurs has allowed academic scientists, businesses, and political adversaries to find common ground. Applied interdisciplinary accomplishments include: • Successful policy campaign clarified US fish farmer’s legal right to own their fish. • Added transparency to contract grower rank on the settlement of broiler flock contracts. • Wrote monthly biomass energy outlook column in BioCycle magazine for five years. • Developed and operated the Bioenergy Crop Adoption Model (BCAM), for Stephen Kaffka at the UC Davis, Cal. Biomass Collaborative. Successfully identified adoption prices in existing cropping systems in California and four states in the Pacific Northwest. • Pioneered the practice of taking biomass resource inventories on the BioTown USA project for the state of Indiana, including one inventory for the California Biomass Collaborative.
