About Mark John Ebora

Hi there! Ever since high school, I’ve been passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives. Growing up in a church community, I developed essential skills like interpersonal communication, leadership, and active listening—qualities that have guided my career path. In 2016, I pursued my passion by enrolling in the Social Service Worker program at George Brown College. During my placement as a recreational assistant in a nursing home, I discovered my love for working with older adults and the joy of bringing smiles to their faces. After graduating in 2018, I worked in various roles, including community work and healthcare, which taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of collaboration—key qualities in any fast-paced environment. Currently, I’m a Unit Clerk at St. Michael’s Hospital, where I provide comfort and support to patients and families while collaborating with healthcare teams. Inspired by these experiences, I’ve decided to take the next step in my journey. I am now attending the Pre-Health program at George Brown College with the goal of pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy, where I can play a more direct role in patient care. With my unique mix of healthcare and social service experience, I’m excited to continue making a positive impact. Let’s connect!
