About Mark John

Trade qualified, a Fellow Engineer with a Master of Business Administration and over two decades of success working for highly regulated, world class companies. Over this period, I received and was nominated for several prestigious awards, including the annual PepsiCo ANZ Award for Leadership and the Graham Spurlings Award for Sustained Excellence (Lean Deployment). I have a strong and highly successful background working in management / leadership roles within Fortune 500 and top 20 ASX listed companies. My experience in both operational and strategic management, together with my extensive education has facilitated Fellow membership at both Engineers Australia as well as the UK Institute of Leadership and Management. I also hold full member level of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management with eligibility of Fellow grade. I have a keen interest in all aspects of risk management, strategic management, with a passion for continuous improvement within any environment. I have extensive experience working at mid - senior level management within the healthcare, food services and manufacturing sectors. Previous roles include Business Excellence leader, Project Manager, Senior Facility Manager, Asset Manager, Engineering Manager, Site Manager, and interim Director - Support Services. Specialist experience and knowledge include, but not limited to; Risk / Compliance Management, Business / Operational Excellence, Technical / Engineering Management, People Management / Leadership, Functional and Site Management. My broad knowledge and experience has allowed me to adapt and succeed within various situations and different environments, implementing or creating policy at the department and company level. I am fortunate to have worked for excellent leaders and mentors throughout my career.
