About Mark Jordy

Mark Jordy has over 40 years experience in the investment management industry. He currently serves as an INED for the UK’s largest investment manager (LGIM) where he is also Chair of the risk committee and Chair of its Europe subsidiary; an INED for a Europe-based global private bank (LGT); and an INED for a global alternatives manager (LGT Capital Partners) where he is chair of the Human Resource committee. He was previously Chief Executive of the London-based affiliate of Wellington Management Company, one of the world’s oldest and largest investment firms. In addition to leading the company’s business in the EMEA region, Mr. Jordy served on a number of group-level governance committees and on the boards of a number of affiliates. Wellington is privately owned, and Mr. Jordy was an equity Partner. Mr. Jordy played a leading role in establishing Wellington’s business outside the US. His experience includes four years based in Beijing, where he led the establishment of Wellington’s business in China, four years in Singapore, where he opened the firm’s first office in Asia, and establishing and leading teams based in Frankfurt, Sydney, Tokyo, and Zurich. Before he joined Wellington, Mr. Jordy spent several years as an investment consultant (NEPC), advising institutional investors on investment policy, asset allocation, and manager selection. He began his career with a leading global custodian bank (The Boston Company), where he held a variety of management and operations roles. Mr. Jordy earned an MBA with distinction and a BS in applied economics and business management from Cornell University.
