About Mark Kempf

I’ve been fortunate to have a career filled with many diverse experiences. I founded and ran a startup, led a greenfield operation in Asia, acquired and integrated companies, and led a division of large multi national companies into a market leading position. My passion is developing a winning strategy and building a strong team committed to each other and excellence. EXECUTIVE: I have managed teams large and small in all aspects of manufacturing, operations, development, R&D, and sales. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE: Currently, I am serving on the boards of Emerald Medical, a medical device contract manufacturer and Fuji Seiko, a component supplier for the Medical Device market. I previously served on the boards at Heraeus, Reell Precision Mfg, the University of MN Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board, and a non-profit k-8 school. STRATEGIC PLANNING: I am passionate about developing and executing strategic plans that create market place differentiation and sustainable growth. INTERNATIONAL: Managing teams in the United States, Asia, and Europe has given me a strong appreciation for the unique strengths of different cultures and approaches to business. I particularly enjoyed the 2.5 years living in Singapore leading a very diverse team with staff from across Asia. ENTREPRENEUR: I am the founder of Vadnais Technologies. Starting with a staff of 4, the company to nearly 100 people before being acquired by Heraeus. When at Heraeus there was an opportunity to green-field an R&D and production site in Singapore, I didn’t hesitate to lead the effort and relocated overseas.
