About Mark Kramer

Principal of Kramer Architects for over 25 years, servicing primarily, the Washington D.C, Maryland, and Virginia communities. We have helped thousands of homeowners develop unique, innovative, and creative solutions for their homes. The elegance of our designs come from the blend of the client's needs, new creative ideas, and the existing environment, while striving to remain true to the original integrity of the home. As a sculptor, I specialize in welded steel and bronze pieces. The sculptures create a blend of art and architecture that connects a visual story to an exclusive piece of artwork. A significant piece,"Lyrical Lady," a 25' steel sculpture, serves as a gateway into Downtown Bethesda, MD. Several other pieces of my public art are currently on display in the D.C. metropolitan area, religious sanctuaries, and private collections. Living in the same area that my architecture firm is located has allowed me the opportunity for greater community involvement. I have been able to serve on multiple boards and develop several projects that successfully integrate the arts and design into the fabric of the community. One project in particular is "Tunnelvision." This project, located in the Bethesda Metro Station, involved the repurposement of a less than appealing tunnel into a vibrant underground gallery space.
