I have always wanted to understand the Why’s and How’s. I am intrigued by the way things work and seek to understand the fundamental principles that drive them, for once you understand something, then you can improve it. I enjoy problem solving and relish the sense of accomplishment you get by tacking, and completing, progressively difficult tasks. I believe in building inclusive relationships, and believe that these relationships lead to success, both professionally and personally. I follow systematic methodologies and processes, always looking to improve on the way I do things, and not afraid to adapt; learning new methods or applying new technologies. I am analytical and deliberate, working with facts and data within the given constraints. I approach problems from a systems perspective and rely on my solid foundation of process and process control engineering knowledge to understand the process components and interactions. I utilize Continuous Improvement techniques, like Lean Six Sigma and Kepner-Tregoe, to identify opportunities and optimize processes. I give and seek feedback, and enjoy sharing skills and experience, coaching others to help them reach their full potential. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a proven effectiveness in achieving business results in all phases of plant design and operation, both greenfield and brownfield: detailed design, C & SU, normal operations and plant expansion.
