About Mark Lambert

A versatile, people focused, and practically minded professional, I’ve enjoyed a diverse and international career in policing, business management and facilities management. Growing up in South Africa, I started my career as a Dog Trainer before moving to the UK in where I joined the police force. Here, I applied my canine training skills to becoming a Dog Handler and Police Dog Instructor until 2020. These 19 years in law enforcement included responding (with my dogs!) to a wide range of high risk, emergency situations including searching for explosives in counter-terrorism situations, supporting firearms teams, and searching for drugs, cash and illegal firearms during serious and organised criminal investigations. As a subject matter expert in all things police dog related, I was selected to join the advisory committee to the United Nations in the Middle East, providing consultancy on dog training and how to use dogs effectively in operations. Alongside my policing career, I have applied my practical skills to renovation projects including extending and renovating our own properties, and I realised I had a passion and aptitude for project management and building maintenance and renovations. I was asked by others to manage their major projects, and this led to setting up my own maintenance business in 2020, which I ran for just under 2 years in the UK. My wife and I have had a life-long ambition to live in Australia, and managed to achieve this in 2021. With enough money to keep us going for a year, we toured with our young son around the entire continent in a 4x4 and caravan. Covering all the major cities and Australia’s most remote, and wildest parts, we decided to set up home in Brisbane and haven’t looked back since. I was hired by Mosaic Property Group in 2022 as Caretaker, where I manage the facilities and maintenance of multiple residential, prestigious buildings. With an international community of residents, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with them and committees to deliver a consistent, high quality service. Outside of work, I can’t seem to say no to a challenge, and enjoyed training for and completing the Ironman Triathlon in Maastricht, which was a 4km swim, a 180km bike ride and a 42km run. Committed to continuous learning and self-development, I have recently become a Certified Project Officer with the Institute of Project Management.
