About Mark Langley
My name is Mark Langley. I'm an 8 year veteran of the US Army and a student at North Carolina Central University. I'm majoring in physical education with a concentration in exercise sport science. My most recent endeavors have been develop experience as a strength and conditioning (SC) coach and research assistant. I hold three certifications in strength and conditioning, with my certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) to be issued upon graduation. My experience has mostly been in military tactical fitness, but I have worked with collegiate athletics and the regional special olympics team. My other passion is research. I've worked on two different studies analyzing the efficacy of two different intervention strategies to reduce risk factors to cardiovascular disease. I have been accepted into the Summer Internship Program at the National Institute of Health's National Institute of Diabetes,Endocrinology, and Obesity Branch. My aspirations are to study exercise physiology at the doctoral level and apply that research to the field of strength and conditioning.
