Aspiring Head Teacher and Senior Leader. Awarded NPQSL with 100% pass rate, NPQML, PGCE, B.A(with Honours) With extensive experience gained within the Education sector in the UK and China as Head of Department in Music, Music Technology, Expressive Arts and Performing Arts, I understand the importance of developing value added programmes that offer a holistic learning experience while encouraging students to pursue and grow their musical abilities. As a founding member of staff at Nanwai King's College School, I brought my passion and enthusiasm in learning to inspire colleagues, teachers and leaders to drive efficiency and teaching quality. Through partnerships with Dipont Education, King’s College School and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), I have progressed the whole school improvement initiative and ensured that high excellence is maintained at all times. As a strategic, senior leader, it is pivotal that a school’s core values, vision, philosophies and mission align with the student’s desire to learn. My ability to show compassion, honesty and respect to those around me has led to the development of an inquisitive, challenging and inspiring curriculum that delivers academic excellence. In addition, by ensuring all staff members posses a range of pedagogy, experiences and perspectives, I believe I can position any learning experience in a school as a world-class learning community. I thrive in environments that allow me to lead by example and provide autonomy to staff members; empowering individuals and students to take charge of their own learning. This has led to a nurtured environment full of support and appreciation for what’s delivered. I am passionate about bringing positive change and transformation by creating innovative ideas and strengthen relationships with students, staff, senior leaders and parents. I believe that by embedding a progressive culture, led by consistency of standards and processes, that it will result in growth for both school and student.
