This is because of CSC Services’ work in partnership with many of the UK leading coatings manufacturers. CSC Services have recently completed several contracts for client EDF Energy. This includes essential maintenance work at Hartlepool Power Station. Inlet and outlet culverts; cooling water intake areas and water boxes were refurbished during the planned shut-down of one of the reactors. Working for EDF Energy’s contact partner Altrad, CSC Services also installed a cathodic protection system to the drumscreen chamber. CSC Services installed a chemical resistant coating to part of the water treatment plant at Dungeness B Power Station, and completed the Concrete Remediation programme at Hinkley Point B Power Station. This followed the successful completion of the previous programme in which specialist repair mortars and structural strengthening products were used to rectify the degradation of reinforced concrete at various areas across the station.
