My career has spanned high tech manufacturing from defense armored personal carriers, CO2 laser, semiconductor fab equipment, airport bomb detection equipment, to medical radiation equipment. A manufacturing engineer by education and a continual thirst for knowledge has landed me in such positions as "advanced manufacturing engineering manager" and "process engineering manager". My driving enthusiasm for continuous improvement in all facets of production has lead to success after success by utilizing my experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Operational Excellence. Summary of Education and Work Experience:* BS in Manufacturing Engineering, 25+ yrs. of experience in electro/mech manufacturing environment.* Design experience using Solid Works & AutoCAD software.* Develop and execute project management plans for new or existing projects. Lead the teams on these projects from concept through production.* Develop and optimize high value, cost effective new parts or system designs based on customer requirements.* Knowledge of JIT and Lean/Flow Manufacturing. A champion of Lean strategies.* Knowledge of DOE, FMEA, DMAIC, SPC.* Extensive experience participating and leading various lean process improvement teams, including Kaizen events resulting in facilitating change in processes and status quo thinking.* Strong Six Sigma problem solver.* Specializing in improving existing manufacturing processes by interfacing with production and engineering groups to resolve problems encountered on the production floor.
