About Mark Lindsay

I’m a qualified Teacher and Head of Department, with over 14 years of experience in teaching ICT and Computer Science across a variety of school environments. I have taught Computer Science to a range of qualifications, including IB, A-Level, iGCSE and GCSE and been responsible for introducing the qualifications in a number of schools. My experience of being Director of ICT Training saw me working closely across the whole school to develop and embed technology across the curriculum. I’m an excellent team worker, possessing very good inter-personal skills, and also adapt at working individually. I’m an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, fully committed to improving the experience of the students by developing new ideas, techniques and programmes of study. I am a versatile and adaptable person, qualifying with Business Studies as my second subject and having also taught History alongside my main subjects. My Degree in Computer Science, along with experience of working in the Software Industry, allows me to prepare students not only for the requirements of the curriculum, but also for those of the Computing Industry. My experience of being a form tutor, as well as running extra-curricular activities, teaching PSHE and coaching Boys Hockey, allow me to fully contribute to the whole school environment.
