About Mark Linsky

As an experienced educator and advocate for language learning, I am passionate about creating inclusive and engaging programs that empower students to thrive in a global community. With a strong background in world language instruction, curriculum development, and international partnerships, I have led initiatives to expand language access in rural districts, support dual language immersion, and help students earn credentials that open doors to college and career opportunities. Currently serving as the Program Specialist for World Languages and Global Workforce Initiatives at the Georgia Department of Education, I collaborate with teachers, administrators, and policy makers to promote high-quality language education across the state. My focus is on practical, research-based strategies that help learners build real-world communication skills and cultural competence. Key strengths include: • Proficiency-based instructional practices aligned with ACTFL standards • Supporting dual language immersion programs and heritage language learners • Designing and facilitating professional learning experiences for educators • Building community partnerships and securing funding to expand programs • Advocating for equity and access in language education I am always looking for ways to connect with fellow educators, language advocates, and global learning enthusiasts. If you share a passion for world languages and global citizenship, let’s connect!
