Background

About Mark Lyne

Currently working as a Market Reporter & Analyst, with a primary focus on sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel, biodiesel, bioethanol, synthetic fuels, advanced feedstocks, and the low-carbon economy. Regular tasks include tracking the international trade and pricing of biofuels and feedstocks, especially across Europe and Asia, as well as their place in meeting the rising demand for decarbonised energy solutions. Other focuses include emerging technologies such as waste-to-energy projects, e-fuels, and carbon capture and storage. A large part of this position has involved extensive relationship-building with policymakers at the forefront of developing legislative programmes for decarbonisation. I also spearheaded a start-up called DualChain in early 2021, an open-source platform that integrates trading applications with voluntary carbon markets and tackling global famine. The system is designed to give away the majority of its commissions to good causes. This has received a recommendation letter from the Minister of Education in Malawi and received AWS credits as part of the SeedStars & Financial Times start-up challenge. Over recent years, I've written extensive financial reviews on public companies that have the capabilities to tackle climate change, including a detailed breakdown of their income statements and balance sheets. A handful of these company reviews have received more than 1 million views collectively on Reddit. Contact email:| mark.lyne@resourcewise.com | mark@dualchain.io
