About Mark Mahoney

I am a member of Dentons' Business Law Group with a focus on mergers & acquisitions and corporate /commercial law matters, including reorganizations, financing transactions, securities and corporate governance. I have a deep understanding of the M&A market in Canada and work with numerous public and private sector clients on their most critical transactions to help them grow their businesses in Canada and globally. I advise on all aspects of cross-border transactions, often working with private equity funds, private equity portfolio companies and multi-national corporations. I bring a business-oriented perspective to every matter, having led the in-house team at a national retail and B2B company, managing a diverse portfolio of litigation, privacy, employment, regulatory and IP issues. I act for clients across a range of industries, including life sciences, cannabis, agribusiness, food and beverage, manufacturing, industrial, technology, clean energy and oil & gas. I also represent some of Canada’s largest and most recognizable charities, not-for-profits and industry associations. Clients often appreciate my practical and pragmatic approach to delivering business solutions. I recently launched and am co-lead of Dentons Canada’s HealthTech Subsector Group, which is comprised of more than 50 lawyers across Canada, and was shortlisted for Financial Times’ “Most Innovative Law firm in North America Award” in 2020.
