About Mark Marquette
I am enjoying semi-retirement helping a Florida non-profit preserve American space history. I am able to combine all my talents into one passionate position that deals with the people of the U.S. Space Programs, past and present. Having no memories of not owning a telescope or camera since age 8, I have been involved in newspapers and magazines as a photojournalist or writer most of my life. I also have taken my people skills to the sales arena, having four sales jobs, each lasting seven or more years in: the insurance business; medical forms and supplies; managing a camera store and display advertising. My favorite niche is using photography/writing/editing, about amateur astronomy and space exploration. A columnist for 21 years as The Stargazer, I am now coordinator at the museum for Astronomy activities.
