Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value" –Albert Einstein Having reached an age where I may be considered a “mature voice” in the industry I can reflect on over 15 years of front line experience and share the values I’ve gained to anyone who will listen! With every day bringing new challenges and questions, I invariably draw on all the experiences from those I’ve met along the way, of both success and failure, in the hope that they will enlighten others on their paths to success. I am currently helping to build the Intact partner channel and assisting others to grow successful channel businesses. They face the same challenges that have dominated my career and I am more than happy to share my experiences with the sole purpose of helping them to build successful direct businesses around the Intact product. I’ve worn many different hats in both my private and working life and as a result, I have a unique ability to empathise with the stakeholders in any given situation. Experience has taught me that my professional experience boils down to the following: • I actually know quite a bit about ERP and Accounting and Business Management Software • I can provide valuable advice to companies faced with changing or upgrading their business software package • I know how to manage a sales team and provide a sales process which ensures a solid and repeatable flow of opportunities • I know when to say no. I probably walk away from as many opportunities as I pursue. • I have been described as a “people’s person” – I’m not really sure what that means but empathy is one of my key traits • I measure success by the value that I bring to others.
