About Mark McClean

One half of an exciting production company called Blue Hare Films, founded by husband and wife team Mark McClean and Ferne Corrigan. Blue Hare Films is based in the Beara Peninsula in West Cork, an area which is steeped with stories and a great source of inspiration for many creative fields. We are still striving to work in the broadcast world, often subcontracting ourselves out to other companies for various roles. As a company, we are always developing new ideas and are really focussing efforts on getting a foothold in the Irish market, bringing our years of expertise and field craft to the table. I’ve worked across a diverse variety of specialist factual and natural history documentaries across BBC1, BBC2, National Geographic, Disney & PBS. I have an in-depth understanding of the editorial and visual demands of programme making, edit producing, development and script writing.
