About Mark McGill

While attending Sullivan University, in 1993 I started my IT career as a nighttime operator at ResCare, inc. Once I completed my Bachelor's Degree, I transitioned to a Programmer role. Following that I worked in various roles centered around Application Development. Even once I transitioned to Management roles at ResCare, Inc, I always stayed involved at the technical level. I worked with Property Management, Survey Tracking, Payroll, HR and Financial applications. In 2012 I joined Humana. Here I have worked as an Application Engineer, Tech Lead and Architect. Most of my projects have been related to Enrollment. I started out developing Client Server applications back in the mid 90s. However, around 2001 things shifted to Web Application development. I worked extensively with Microsoft.NET and Oracle for around 15 years. At Humana fewer applications I've worked on have had Oracle as a backend and most have had SQL Server. I have done extensive stored package, procedure, trigger and SQL work throughout the years. I have also developed SOAP/XML and REST services. I have also enjoyed mentoring Application Engineers and helping them grow/expand their skills.
