Background

About Mark McMahon

I am the link which connects Aviation, Construction and Property. My experience has taken me from a BEng in Aerospace Engineering, to being a manager in a large infrastructure company, achieving Senior First Officer on a Boeing 747, Boeing and then onward to setting up my own property investment company, Brocagh Homes Ltd. I am enthusiastic pilot who operates a globally in a competitive, commercial operation. Holding a total of over 6600 hours across both Boeing and Airbus aircraft, I have demonstrated an ability to adapt to changing circumstances as throughout my career I transitioned across three different airlines. In addition, I have received mental health training from one of the Uk’s leading aviation psychologist’s and have over four years’ experience volunteering as a peer-to-peer support adviser for pilots. If you are an organisation or recruiter who seeks to bridge the gap between aviation and either property / construction, then look no further. Due to the down turn in global travel and the aviation industry being at an historic low, I saw an opportunity to re-educate in property investment strategies and created Brocagh Homes Ltd. I have been involved in buy-to-let properties for over 10 years and have extensive experience in construction management and policy making. A bit about me: I am originally from County Tyrone in Northern Ireland and am proud of my Irish roots. Currently I live in Essex and enjoy sports; specifically football, cycling and squash. During the Covid-19 pandemic I started playing ‘Padel’ - a new racket sport which I am enjoying learning about and competing in. Annually, I enjoy skiing with friends. To me, life is all about ‘balance’ and I try to achieve that by giving back to communities through a variety of voluntary roles and making time for family / friends in amongst a busy working life. Continuous development is what I aim to achieve both professionally and in my personal life. I enjoy taking on new challenges and learning new ideas, concepts and finding solutions to problems.
