About Mark Melancon

Entering my 15th season in Major League Baseball, I’ve had the privilege of playing alongside some of the greatest athletes and leaders in professional sports. After graduating from the University of Arizona, my journey through professional baseball started when I was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 2006 MLB Draft. Now 15 years and four All-Star games later, my family and I now reside in Florida. No matter the city or time in my career, I’ve always pursued opportunities off the field that tie back to my passions and interests. At the core of all these opportunities is a deep commitment to my family and community. In addition to my career on the field, I am the Co-Founder of Diamond Turf. At Diamond Turf, our mission is to provide the highest level of PGA-quality putting greens and high performance artificial turf. Since our launch, we have worked with numerous professional athletes and celebrity clients. Based in Sarasota, we serve clients across the larger Tampa community.
