About Mark Mempin

Mark is an engineer in training (EIT) with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary. Mark currently works as a transmission lines engineer in training at Maskwa High Voltage. Maskwa is an engineering service provider based in Calgary, Alberta that specializes in the design and execution of high voltage projects globally. Previously, Mark had worked at AltaLink as an assistant project manager and was responsible for managing a portfolio of various projects that enabled the connection of energy generation facilities to the Alberta grid. He also worked there as an operational engineering student gaining technical experience on operational analysis and asset compliance. AltaLink is Alberta's largest regulated electricity transmission company, responsible for providing reliable and sustainable electricity to 85% of all Albertans. During his free time, Mark enjoys powerlifting, road cycling, fidgeting with electronics and watching motorsports such as Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship. Ultimately, Mark aspires to one day be able to put the skills and knowledge he will and have learned to good use, and create his own ways of contributing to society.
