Current Conference Committee Chairman, International Outreach, Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE), Engineering Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) conferences; Responsibilities include providing Lean Six Sigma training in Jamaica and the Caribbean region, Nigeria and Ghana utilizing IISE Green Belt, Black Belt and Lean Champion training materials. Training delivery certified by the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) with international recognized Lean Six Sigma training program to ISO-13053-1 & 2. Certification exam administered by IISE and IISE membership and networking opportunities awarded upon successful Lean Six Sigma coursework with assigned mentors. Mark is a trainer in workforce development with more than 30 years of experience. His field of expertise includes the manufacturing, aerospace, maintenance, logistics, electronics, healthcare systems management and service industries. He serves the U. S. Department of Defense as a Critical Chain Program Manager at the U.S. Naval Submarine Base New London Connecticut. The Base is a submarine maintenance hub for nuclear attack submarines where he is the technical authority responsible for developing and sustaining their Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Lean Six Sigma (LSS) program and training of military and civilian personnel in workforce development practices utilizing LSS business strategies. At United Technologies Inc,(i.e. Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand) Mark was Manager,(Process Certification) Six Sigma with a LEAN expert manufacturing skillset; six sigma/Lean program development and implementation specialist; experienced trainer, coach, expert, and change agent leading Six Sigma infrastructure development principles; proficient in strategic and tactical management applications. Expertise in statistical process control (SPC) data collection systems and Standard Work development and deployment. Trained with Dorian Shainin and certified by Mr Shainin as a Red 'X' expert. Experienced in developing and managing technical personnell and directing root cause analysis, value stream mapping (VSM) and analysis, PFMEA preventative/corrective action applications and relevant LEAN methodologies.
